01 Feb Steph and Donovan’s Grant notley gazebo wedding amidst beautiful outdoor of river valley in Edmonton, Alberta
When we met Steph for the first time at a starbucks in south Edmonton she revealed that they are planning a big wedding later but for now due to certain family reasons (She comes from Hongkong while Donovan is born raised in Alberta) they are holding this small ceremony and she would only want DreamGrapher to shoot it even though its an intimate elopement but it means a lot to her…over the course of coffee Steph told the story of how they met as she was at the same tennis court as Donovan always played and shared a game and before they realized they were spending all the time together not just a game !
Fast forward a few weeks…At 10 PM on the night before the big day, We received a phone call from Steph and conversation went something like:
Shraddha : ‘ Shouldn’t you be asleep for the early start tomorrow? ‘
Steph : ‘ ummm so much to do ! I was wondering is its possible to do First look photos tomorrow morning ‘
Shraddha : ‘ Lets see, just wait for my call in the morning…and dont show up until I ask you to ‘
Following that Shraddha called Donovan and made arrangements to meet a bit early away from the ceremony location for a surprise and this is what happened …
So following the first look, allowing them to digest the happiness of the big day and some moments spent making couple shots three of them headed for the Grant notley Gazebo for the actual ceremony where their families awaited
We made sure to capture that connection between them on their wedding day by making extra time to take them to the same tennis court where their eyes met first and their love flourished 🙂
